FAQ Writing Activities

I was just reading the What Activities Count? website page. I wondered...when you're returning to a WIP you haven't looked at for months or years, and all you can do that day is 20 minutes (or 2 hours) of rereading to familiarize yourself with the story...does that count? I'm guessing not, but I thought I'd ask, since it's likely to come up a lot for me. I have a lot of WIPs, and if I don't remember a thing about it, there's little chance I'll pick it up and just start writing again without that bit in between. It's part of the process...but it probably doesn't have that creative element you're talking about, unless I'm also writing down brainstorms as I read, etc.
