GWYO's main hub is on LiveJournal at [community profile] getyourwordsout. Only members signed up on the LJ community are considered part of the challenge.

Due to the numerous DDoS attacks on LJ (which always seem to come just in time for a check-in), we wanted to utilize this comm as an emergency back-up option to communicate with our members. Posts here will be infrequent, or so we hope!

Is it possible to sign up there via OpenID with a DW account, or is an LJ account a requirement? I've been thinking of signing up for next year, but I'm also seriously thinking of deleting my LJ account. I want to know if that would disqualify me. ^^;

It would not be a problem to sign up with OpenID -- we actually have someone doing that this year. We are also considering some level of mirroring between the two sites next year as well. Knowing that you're looking to sign up, we'll (hopefully!) remember to put a notice up here as well when we start having people pledge for 2012. Thanks!
