Date: 2025-01-06 06:41 pm (UTC)There are 3-4 monthly challenges, my favorite is "10 out of 20" where there are 20 prompts provided on the first of the month and the challenge is to use at least 10 of them in short works during the month. There are other challenges (comment fic, 2x2 bingo) scattered across the month.
Writing Olympics Discord Server
Date: 2025-01-08 06:04 pm (UTC)The Writing Olympics (previously NaNOlympics) Discord server is open year round. Provides word crawls, ball wars (catching a "ball", writing a specified number of words in a specified time, and tossing it for others to try catching; sometimes a team event, sometimes an individual event), baskets (getting a basket, writing a specified number of words - usually 100-1,000 in 100-word increments - and then restarting; scoring by reaching 1K words).
Currently running The 12 Labours of Christmas word crawl (AKA TORTURMas) until Feb. 2nd for those that didn't finish by Jan. 6th (the twelfth day of Christmas).
This year may be quiet, though....
Invites can be requested.
